Not the best venue choice
Pier 17 is one of the great New York City areas. For the Pink Martini band event, access to the Rooftop was extremely well organized. I bought my ticket as soon as the event was announced by Ticketmaster, a few months in advance. It happened that August 12, 2021 was, at 7pm, one of the hottest, most humid evenings I have ever seen in NYC. Very uncomfortable. And we were lucky. It didn't rain.
Last time I really comfortably enjoyed a show by the Pink Martini Band was at the Beacon Theatre.
Part of the reduced rating I gave to the Pier17 event is precisely due to the choice of a Rooftop venue, which is subject to weather inclemencies. The other half of the missing Star is due to singer Storm Large not participating in this particular show.
